How it works
- 1. Someone says something. Completely innocently. You notice the double meaning; they don’t.
- 2. You submit it. Type the quote, tap the word that makes it a pun, and add a little context.
- 3. A human reviews it. Every pun is read before it goes live, usually within a day.
- 4. Everyone groans. Then you send the share card to whoever said it.
House rules
- It has to be an accident.
If they meant it, it’s just a pun, and there are other websites for that. Readers vote on every pun: totally accidental, or suspiciously convenient?
- No full names of private people.
“My dad”, “our electrician” or “a barista” is perfect. Public figures saying something on air are fair game.
- Nothing cruel.
We’re laughing with people, not at them.
- Kids’ puns are welcome; kids’ names are not.
Keep the context general, like “my 7-year-old, at breakfast”.
- Word for word, as best you remember.
Light tidying is fine. Inventing a better version isn’t.
Privacy
If you give us your email, we use it to send you updates about your submissions, like when a pun goes live, and to help us review submissions. We only send newsletters, digests or other news if you tick the box to opt in, and every one has an unsubscribe link.
Your email is never shown on the site. We don’t sell it, and we only share it with the services we use to run the site and send email.
We set one anonymous cookie so each browser gets one groan per pun, and to stop floods of submissions. It isn’t linked to your name or email.
The full details are in our privacy policy.
